We’ve officially dedicated the five miles of Bay Area Ridge Trail that access the southern portion of Suscol Headwaters Park! On October 22nd, dignitaries and local elected officials gathered with NOSD staff, trailbuilders who helped construct Suscol Headwaters, and community supporters to cut the ribbon and dedicate the new access trail as part of the Bay Area Ridge Trail network.
This also opens the southern entrance to the park via the new parking lot on North Kelly Rd in Napa starting Saturday, October 24th.
This parking lot gives two options to access the Suscol/Skyline trail network: via Skyline Wilderness Park or now via the parking lot on North Kelly Road. Trail rules and day-use parking fees are identical through both entrances ($6/car).
For more information about the park, trail maps, and driving directions to the new parking lot, see the Suscol Headwaters Park web page here.
