The Napa Open Space District is hiring Park Aides and a Park Steward Assistant (Miller/Interpreter) to work at the Bothe Napa Valley State Park and the Bale Grist Mill SHP starting in February/March. The pay ranges from $14.10 to $17.14 per hour for Park Aide and $24.23 to $29.45 per hour for Park Steward Assistant (Miller/Interpreter). Positions are part time and up to seasonal full-time in the spring/summer. Anyone 16 years or older as of May 1, 2022 can apply. The District will provide paid lifeguard training and certification for those selected for Park Aide. Lifeguard training attendance may be required for this position.

Park Steward Assistant (Miller/interpreter) position will work at the Bale Grist Mill State Historic Park delivering interpretive programming including milling demonstrations.This position involves a subset of the tasks listed in the Park Steward Assistant job description with emphasis on giving tours and delivering interpretation to the public, operating the mill for milling demonstrations, participating in special events and light maintenance of grounds.
