Summer Camps with the Napa Open Space District
Help your kids make memories and connect with the outdoors with our local summer camps!
One of our core missions is to help connect local children to nature and educate them about the outdoors & our environment. In addition to the extensive outdoor education we provide through school field trips, the Napa Open Space District offers several different summer camps.
Each of these camps help connect children with nature and educates them about the Napa Valley’s natural and historical parks through hands on learning and exploration. We include a variety of activities like hiking, swimming and kayaking with educational craft and skill building activities to help kids continue to learn and develop.
See details below for each of the different summer camp options and register online before space fills up!

Junior Counselor (Ages 14-17)
The Junior Counselor Leadership Program provides older youth with opportunities to develop important professional and life skills while enjoying summer camp activities and helping educate and entertain our young campers.
Junior Counselors will have to learn and to demonstrate leadership, responsibility and maturity. Junior Counselors assist in leading groups in their daily adventures, setting up for activities, and other tasks as assigned.
There will be a one day training prior to camp to familiarize Junior Counselors with the camp location, let them learn about their duties, and get to know fellow junior counselors and supervising adult counselors. The Junior Counselor Leadership Program is designed for students currently 14 – 17 years old.
