Join the Napa Open Space District Team!
The Napa Open Space District is currently recruiting for a permanent full-time Park Steward Assistant.
The Park Steward Assistant, under supervision, performs responsible public contact and park protection work; assists with the planning, development, and maintenance of District lands; collects visitor day-use and overnight camping fees; answers questions and complaints of the public; instructs park visitors in nature or other interpretive programming; performs a variety of work in the construction, modification, maintenance, restoration, and repair of District lands and facilities; and performs related duties as required.
This is a field position that requires extensive work in the outdoors. In other organizations the Park Steward Assistant might be called a Park Ranger or a Park Ranger Assistant, however in the service of the Napa Open Space District this is not a peace officer position.

These properties, which include operation of the three State Parks in Napa County, are home to more than 160 miles of recreational trails. There are several major projects planned in the coming years that will add additional acreage and trail miles to the District’s holdings
