Now Hiring: Park Aide & Miller

Join the Napa Open Space District Team!

Now hiring Park Aide and Park Steward Assistant (Miller)

Do you like the outdoors, enjoy learning and interpreting history, and want to help people enjoy nature? Join the Napa Open Space District’s team at our local State Parks!

The Napa Open Space District is currently hiring for two different positions: a Park Aide at Bothe-Napa Valley State Park, and a Park Steward Assistant/Miller at Bale Grist Mill Historic State Park. Both positions are primarily part-time positions, but the Park Aide can be seasonally up to full-time. Hours for each can be somewhat flexible and are perfect for retirees/partial-retirees, students, or part time workers.

Park Aides help with all manner of park operations ranging from customer service to visitor and resource protection, grounds and facilities management and support for special events and various programs. During the summer months, the park maintains a swimming pool and the District provides paid lifeguard training for Park Aides. ($14.10-$18.84/hr)

Park Steward Assistants/Millers give tours to the public, interpret history and operate the historic Bale Grist Mill. This important position tells the story and history of the Napa Valley and the Bale Mill for visitors and school groups. The Miller uses the 175 year old mill for grinding grain for demonstrations and special events. This is a very engaging and fun position and allows the right candidate to share their curiosity and knowledge about our history with others. If interested in this position, please contact the Park Steward at jjordan@ncrposd.org for full job description and details. ($25.80-$31.37/hr)

APPLICATION PERIOD: OPEN UNTIL FILLED.

To Apply: See the job descriptions below, complete the job application and email it to info@ncrposd.org. For more information about either position, contact the Park Steward at 707-299-2171 or jjordan@ncrposd.org
