We are excited to announce that the Bale Grist Mill will be reopening for visitors on Saturday June 19th!
The mill has been closed to visitors for some time due to coronavirus safety considerations and impacts from the 2020 fire. During the closure, Napa Open Space District staff were able to complete restoration on the waterwheel and we’re glad to be able to welcome the public to see the new wheel.
The Bale Grist Mill will be open for tours on Saturdays only for the time being (10:00am-5:00pm). Please see the main web page for the Bale Grist Mill for directions, maps, and more.
We plan to resume the full schedule of tours of the mill starting in July (Saturdays/Sundays 10:00am-4:00pm) and school field trips Wednesdays & Thursdays.
COVID Protocols: California will be reopening on June 15th and the majority of restrictions will be easing. We will be limiting the number of visitors on the tours to create spacing, and moving more of the tour outdoors. Following county guidance, masks are required inside the mill building for the time being.
