Brent Randol appointed as new Ward 3 Director
The Board of Directors appointed St Helena resident, outdoorsman and businessman Brent Randol to fill the remainder of the term for Ward 3 Director left vacant by the resignation of Michael Haley.
Oat Hill Mine Trail Advisory
The public is requested to not use the Oat Hill Mine Trail between Holms Place and the Aetna Spring trail head between Saturday August 8th and Sunday September 20, 2015
Harvest Dinner 2015 at Bale Grist Mill
Enjoy a candlelight farm-to-table dinner at the foot of the great water wheel at the Bale Grist Mill. The evening starts with appetizers, a whisky-tasting bar, live old-time music, silent auction and tours of the historic 1846 water-powered mill, on Saturday, September 12, 2015 starting at 6 pm. Applicants Sought for Park District Director Ward 3
Michael Haley, representing Ward 3 on the Napa County Regional Park and Open Space District, announced his resignation effective August 14, 2015. The Board of Directors is seeking applicants wishing to represent Ward 3 for the remainder of his unexpired term, which runs until December 2016.

Citizens Advisory Committee Issues Final Report
The Park and Open Space District Advisory Committee on May 7, 2015 approved a Final Report on their findings and recommendations regarding the Napa County Regional Park and Open Space District, its track record over the first eight years of the District, and recommendations on the future direction and funding for the District. The Final Report was accepted by the District Board of Directors on May 11, 2015. Over the coming year the Board will evaluate and potentially implement the recommendations contained in the report. Public comments are encouraged at any time.
Proposed Budget for FY 2015-16
Comments on the draft budget for FY 2015-16 (July 1 to June 30) will be accepted in writing until 2 pm on Monday June 8, 2015 at 1195 Third Street, 2nd floor, Napa, CA 94559. Comments can also be made at the public hearing scheduled for 2 pm on June 8th at 1195 Third Street, 3rd floor in the City of Napa.

Update on Napa River and Bay Trail
The 0.7 mile segment of the combined Napa River Trail, San Francisco Bay Trail and Vine Trail that runs from Soscol Ferry Road to Napa Pipe is now open.
New Trails at Moore Creek
Join the ribbon cutting on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 10 am for the opening of the Lake Hennessey Unit of Moore Creek Park, including 6.5 miles of new trails looping through more than 900 acres of hills and shoreline along Lake Hennessey. There will be a guided hike, and a longer guided mountain bike tour that will also include the new (and awesome) Valentine Vista Trail in Moore Creek Park. You're welcome to bring your horse and go for a ride as well, though if you plan to please give Chris Cahill a call at 299-1335 so we can be sure there's enough parking for your trailer. Meet at the Moore Creek Park staging area at 2607 Chiles and Pope Valley Road (from the Napa Valley, take Highway 128 past Lake Hennessey, and bear left at the Y intersection just east of the Lake for 1.3 miles).
Napa River and Bay Trail Construction Update
The section of the planned Napa River and Bay Trail between Soscol Ferry Road and the Napa Valley Corporate Park is scheduled to start construction the week of September 29, 2014

Wildlife Conservation Commission awards $37,500 to seven local groups; NCRPOSD a recipient.
Application deadline for Advisory Committee extended
The deadline for applications to the Napa County Regional Park and Open Space District Advisory Committee has been extended until all appointments are made. Interested persons are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Each city council and each county Supervisor will review the applications and make nominations to the park district as described in the earlier news item on this topic. The application form is under the Documents tab on this web page.
Applicants Sought for Advisory Committee
The Napa County Regional Park and Open Space District is seeking applicants to serve on a special Park and Open Space District Advisory Committee to evaluate the District’s track record since its establishment by the voters in 2006 and to recommend next steps and initiatives for the District.
Effective Sunday April 13th, Moore Creek Park Has Reopened
The Valentine Vista Trail is now complete and open to hikers and cyclists, but please refrain from riding horses on it until we get a little rain to settle and compact the soil. Thanks!
