Current Status of Parks & Trails 4/18/24
All parks not listed below are currently open for normal use.
Moore Creek Park (Road Advisory) – Chiles Pope Valley Road will be closed to through traffic for several months starting 3/25/24 because of bridge construction work. Moore Creek Park will remain open and will be accessible from the south via Silverado Trail/Hwy 128/Sage Canyon Rd. Expect to see “Road Closed Ahead” signs on your way to the parking lot, but the road will be closed past the park entrance. Park users traveling from Pope Valley will need to detour and approach the park from the south.
Bothe-Napa Valley State Park – Campgrounds, cabins, and yurts are now open for use. All trails are now open. Ritchey Canyon Trail remains wet and muddy and horses and bikes are not allowed until it dries out. We anticipate opening this section to all users by 4/12.
Robert Louis Stevenson State Park – Expect some downed trees and erosion damage on trails from recent storms, particularly on the Palisades section of the trail. Check with park staff about route options and current trail status.
Berryessa Peak Trail – There is a landslide approximately 4 miles into the trail that has blocked access to the remaining 2 miles. We hope to have repairs made on this trail soon, but rugged terrain and weather may make this a challenging repair.
