Tuleyome, our non-profit partner based in Yolo County, will be leading a trail work party Saturday March 4th.  If you are interested in volunteering, meet at the Smittle Creek Day Use Area at 9 am.  After hiking approximately 2.75 miles on the Iron Mountain trail, volunteers will “open” the trail to allow easier access to the top of Iron Mountain. Most of the work will be trimming overhanging and encroaching branches. Please be prepared to work in muddy conditions and in chaparral – long pants and long sleeves are strongly recommended. BYO (bring-your-own) work gloves, water, snacks, and lunch. Tools will be available, but feel free to bring your favorite loppers and/or small hand saw.

If you have questions, contact Nathan Lillge at nlillge@tuleyome.org.
